Stags & Hens take note: alcohol and water don’t mix. No-one under the influence of alcohol is to go Stand Up Paddleboarding. If you arrive drunk for your session we will not be able to take you paddleboarding and no refund can be issued.
Yes there’s a fantastic pub ……Ye Old Ferrie Inn, right where we are based!
If you can’t attend the session you’ve booked and give us plenty of warning we’ll make every effort to accommodate you on a future session. Because we book freelance instructors for every session we can’t refund or reschedule you if you can’t make it and don’t let us know.
We take a maximum of 9 people with 1 instructors (ratio 1:9)
Yes we do, you’re welcome to bring your own suitable shoes while paddling if you prefer. or we have some surf booties you can borrow. We wear shoes at all times whist on the river bank
We go out in all weather. The only reason we’d call a session off is in severe winds or a thunderstorm. We take safety very seriously and if the river conditions are unsafe we will not take you out. (In that case obviously you would get a full refund.)
The beauty of stand up paddleboarding is that you just climb back on again! We’ll go through this before we get on the water for the first time. You’ll be attached to your board by a leash so just pull the board towards you and clamber back on.
Yes, we have changing rooms on site and a secure place to store valuables whilst we’re on the water.
Stand up paddleboarding is a water sport and all we ask is that you’d be comfortable if you were to take a dip. You’ll be attached to your board by a leash at all times so you don’t need to be a champion swimmer. We’ll check you’re confident in the water before we set off and you will be wearing a buoyancy aid as well. Our rescue-trained instructors will be on hand to help you get back onto the board if you’re struggling.
Yes, there is free car parking on site. There are generally spaces but we can’t guarantee you one.
We aim to start each session on time so please arrive five minutes before the start of the session.
Other than brand new equipment and expert instruction we also provide wetsuits and buoyancy aids, helmets and changing facilities. We have a secure place for valuables.
Please bring clothes you don’t mind getting wet and footwear to wear on the riverside. Please dress for the weather and try to avoid cotton and jeans that are cold when wet. If it’s warm, bring a water bottle, sun cream and a hat.
