Our Service

Our service is safety

At the point of booking you will be sent a welcome email that highlights what to expect during your session as well as what you need to bring with you (including the revelant medical form). Before each session all participants are given a clear safety briefing and issued with all safety equipment necessary for them to enjoy their session in a safe manner as well as having fun. All sessions will have been formally risk assessed and we have full insurance cover for our customers and instructors.

All our SUP instructors have been awarded the appropriate National Governing Body award qualifications to allow them to deliver fun, safe and engaging SUP sessions. These awards have been accredited through Canoe Wales/ Canoe England.

An adventure with SUPYOFI is made up of 5 stages:

  1. Meet at Ye Old Ferrie Inn at the booking time, and fill in the boring paperwork (but in great surroundings)!
  2. Get all the equipment you need (depending on the time of year).
  3. Launch your paddleboard, have half an hour of training, and learn the basics with your instructor.
  4. Set off to enjoy beautiful Symonds Yat and the River Wye for around two hours.
  5. Gently make your way back to base and enjoy a well-deserved refreshment break overlooking the River Wye at Ye Old Ferrie Inn.

Our Reviews

Below are a few quotes from some satisfied SUPYOFI customers – why not become one yourself?

WHAT A SETTING!!!!!!!! The location for the sessions was amazing, met by friendly staff at the start of the session. All ran super smooth, SUPYOFI come highly recommended!

booked onto one to SUPYOFI’s ‘open sessions’ was a little nervous of not knowing anyone. As soon I was met by Donnie my nerves were settled straight away. The coach Rhys introduced myself and ran through the brief outline of the session and once again settled my nerves. The rest of the people on the open session were all like minded and Rhys made sure we were all engaged with the session and allowing time to help each of us develop our skills, building the session up bit by bit. I couldn’t believe it by the end I could actually stand up and paddle forward by the end. These guys are highly professional, enthusiastic, thoughtful and client focused

I took my daughter along for a 3 hour morning session and she was booked with her instructor Windy. I waited till they set off and listened to Windy’s thorough instruction before they even put the boards on the river. Wet suits and helmets were provided. My daughter had a great lesson and came back looking like she had been doing it for years. She had so much fun she wanted to go again the next day but work prevented her. She is hooked and can’t wait for her next trip home so she can go again. Windy was an excellent tutor, he is very sociable with a very good sense of humour and made the experience good fun. Ye Old Ferrie Inn is on site for coffee or lunch after a morning session. There is also parking at the pub and it is in the car park that you will find the SUPYOFI hut to start your paddle board experience.

We’d been canoeing on the Wye a few times and wanted to try something different and this was great! Was our first time on a stand up paddle board but it’s easy to pick up and the instructors made the whole session a laugh from start to finish. Coming out of the water to a YOFI burger and a pint of local cider went down a treat too. Highly recommended.

Great day, great staff, and a great setting. The tutoring was second to none and we felt safe and sound at all time. Thank you so much to all at SUP YOFI.
